Khayyam Poem
Growing up in Iran for the first 16 years of my life, Persian poetry was a large part of my upbringing and education. I wanted to reconnect to the roots of my culture's art. In this piece, I created a visual representation of a poem by Hakim Omar Khayyam, a mathematician and poet from Neyshapour.
"I saw a bird sitting atop a rooftop. With it, it holds the head of King Keikavoos. The bird spoke to the head. Oh shame, shame, where is your mighty caravan, and loud war horns?"

Nerdholder
The Nerdholder was one of my first finished sculpts in my second year of college. When creating this piece, I imagined a nervous beholder making his way through the hallways of his monster school, in a rush to make it to his D&D club meeting. After 6 months, I decided to revisit the Nerdholder project, and apply my new skills to this scene. I recreated all textures, lighting, and cameras in order to achieve a more professional look, while still capturing the same emotion.
