After Many Springs
Inspired by the poem "After Many Springs", by the great American poet, Langston Hughes, I wanted to visualize a poem that I found most beautiful.
In the poem After Many Springs, I envisioned an old man who has long forgotten the joys of life and hangs on to a brighter past to find happiness.
I wanted the animation to end in a bittersweet moment of reunion, as the old man joins his wife in the afterlife.
